Join Us for Maʻemaʻe Family Night: A Tradition of Fun, Community, and Support for Our Keiki

On May 2, 2025, from 2:30 to 7:00 PM, we invite you to join us for Maʻemaʻe Family Night, a cherished tradition that brings together the Nu'uanu community for an afternoon of fun, connection, and support for our keiki. Whether you're a returning member of the Maʻemaʻe ʻohana, alumni, or new to our community, this event offers something special for everyone.

A Tradition of Community and Education

For over a decade, Maʻemaʻe Family Night has been more than just a fair; it’s a cornerstone of our community, not only for the families of Nu'uanu but for the wider Honolulu area. Maʻemaʻe Elementary is a 2021 National Blue Ribbon School, the educational partnership between the school, families, and the community creates a network of support that extends well beyond the classroom. This ongoing collaboration provides our keiki with valuable opportunities to engage in diverse experiences, growing both academically and personally, ensuring success and instilling an understanding that "learning is forever."

This event is a testament to that spirit—an initiative driven by the Maʻemaʻe PTSA, the school’s faculty, and parents for the keiki and those who believe in the power of safe, supportive communities. It’s an opportunity to contribute to early childhood education, foster personal growth, and promote leadership through community engagement and service.

Supporting Education: How Your Participation Makes a Difference

All proceeds from Family Night directly support Maʻemaʻe Elementary’s educational programs, ensuring that ALL keiki have access to quality learning experiences. Your participation helps fund essential tools, faculty resources, field trips, classroom supplies, and technology that enhance our students' educational journeys, including:

  • Morning & After School Summer Programs: A variety of programs designed to support and enrich students' experiences beyond regular classroom hours, as well as provide supervisory support for busy families.
  • Summer School & Enrichment Activities: Offering in-person programs during the summer to provide continued learning opportunities and enrichment.
  • Campus Beautification & Maintenance: Annual events to maintain and enhance the school's environment, fostering a positive learning space and Earth-conscious action.
  • Ma'ema'e Dolphin Dash, Fitness Day, & Family Night: Activities and events promoting physical fitness and community engagement to broaden educational support.
